Why are we building a Makerspace?

Because we believe that a healthy community needs inclusive spaces away from home and work for connection and creativity. Creative expression nurtures well being and grows connection to others.

We place value on reducing barriers to participation. Our goal is to collaboratively nurture a space that is welcoming, inspiring, purposeful and meaningful.

Our hope is to provide a safe landing place for people to rest their wings. Vulnerability and resiliency are nurtured here.

The chirpy sparrow perches as our symbol for unity, empowerment, innovation and joy.

 

Sparrows remind us that small things can create beautiful moments in a big world.
