A Community of Makers
Welcome to our nest,
Some of you will know us as the TUTUers from Elora Centre for the Arts. We now have our own cozy nest down the alley next to Common Craft and Studio Kampina downtown Elora! We have been making collaborative textile and mixed media art with donated and found objects for over 12 years using imagination and curiosity to repurpose and mend for sustainable living. We weave friendships, explore resourcefulness and celebrate diversity while we work. We participate in community projects, workshops and events by sharing and wearing our art to inspire and delight!
For many years our community have generously donated wonderful pre-loved art supplies and found objects for our young makers to use and share with community groups. Some of these items we sell in our little shop to keep the cost of our classes accessible for all. Materials that we are unable to use are donated to Groves Hospital New to You in Fergus or the MCC Mission Store in Elmira.
Sparrow’s Nest sells locally handcrafted items, pre-loved art materials, found objects, curios and notions. We hope this offers all makers the opportunity to re-use materials to inspire and enhance their work.
We welcome donations for our store anytime. They can be left on our doorstep if we are closed. We thank you for your generous support!
Please see our Contact & Info page for details about our classes and shop hours, "Mend and Make Cafe"drop-ins and Facebook/Instagram pages for updates and news.
Many kind thanks for your cheering as we unfold,
Stephanie and the Sparrows
